BRIEF ARTICLE OVERVIEW: It is an undeniable truth that obesity and diabetes have long gone hand-in-hand. Diabetes educators â nurses, dietitians, pharmacists and others who are trained and certified to provide counseling, education and life skills to people with diabetes â often target obesity as a way to prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes and a way to manage many of the complications that arise from the disease.
